City Life vs. Rural Life

It doesn’t matter where you came from, in city or in rural, what is important is the general quality of one’s life.

Let us define what quality life is. Having a quality life includes not only wealth and employment, but also its environment, physical and mental health, education, recreation and leisure time, and social belonging. It really depends on a person’s point of view whether he/she is contented having all of these or just by having at least some, not all, of these given aspects.

What are the benefits and drawbacks of living in cities? How about living in rural areas, are there distinctiveness in such ways of living than living in the city?

Improvisation of locale can boost employment rate and gives other economic benefits. In some ways, people would tend to agree for this because of its positive effects. On the other hand, this also brought negative effects in the environment and also in humans with regards to wellness and in health. In rural areas, even though we seldom observe civilization and development, it preserves the environment.

Mode of transport are available everywhere in the cities, unlike in rural areas, you really need to take a very long walk just to get on the bus terminals or major transport companies. Due to easy access in transportation in cities, traffic jams are always present. It is one of the major dilemma in cities because all transport vehicles are piled-up on every high-ways. It causes not only stress to people hurrying-up to go to their respective work during rush hours, but also this is one of the two main sources of pollutants. Conversely, in rural areas, you rarely see vehicles on streets especially on late night and people experience less air pollution.

Universities, privates schools and even over-populated public schools in the cities out-numbered the schools in provinces. When it comes to students, students in cities, they are likely to be diverse and more sociable. Most people claim that the level of quality education in cities is higher compared to the quality of education in rural areas in terms of teachers, community and environment.

Other favorable factor that a city can offer, convenient markets and stores are available all over the places. Basic necessities of people are attainable anytime and everywhere. In provinces, they would even allot time to make a list or take down all their important needs that will last up to a week or even a month before going to the market so that they can save time, money and effort.

When it comes to entertainment, cities have lots of variety of enjoyment. Cinemas are there for movie-lovers, wide fields/sports arena for some manly sports, bars to hop-on and to unwind, gaming lounges for game enthusiasts and etc.. In rural places, recreation and leisure are limited.

Human labor is big deal with people in rural areas because it is their source of living. Their basic jobs are farming, gardening, carpentry etc.. Unlike in cities, it is not. Human labor is less important. Industries are equipped by machinery. Lots of workloads are done by computers, supercomputers and other modern facilities. Though there’s a less need in human labor, opportunities in urban areas are higher than of in provinces.

Generally, people tend to choose to live in cites rather than living in rural areas that they believed that it is more convenient to live in cities. People who have had experience to live on both will definitely have a second thought or even be doubtful which is better. Each offers unique factors that are considerable. Though there are lots of differences among city life and rural life, it is not where one lives, but how one lives.

To become effective you should make a systematic approach for yourself to achieve your set goals. You must set-up or identify those areas you yourself know you are not performing well. Learn to evaluate things you do, make an analysis for yourself and conclude what are the problems that you cannot administer or those were unattainable. Help yourself to overcome these hindrances that comes on your way to achieve success. It is not necessary to completely change the way who you are, the way you perform and the way to interact, it is merely about improving your set standards to achieve success.

Learn not to give-up on unexpected circumstances. You should be certain on what you are doing. It is important to impose self-discipline in such a way you can persist on any stress that comes on your way. Very important factor you should know how to handle properly is your time, energy, and attitude.

Therefore managing oneself is not just important, but it is necessary for you to have a better life.

Just the way I am

I am a very serious person. I tend to be quiet and well behaved, and I don’t have a great deal of self-confidence. I prefer to be alone rather than with friends and that could make myself a little less interesting to certain types of guys.I am very attractive in an individual kind of way, and this means it can take people a little while to get to like me.
I really care about other people’s feelings and are quite serious about the issues that affect on my own life. I am sincere, and my concern for the well-being of others makes many people want to be my friend.
People can get tired of me easily, as I can make them feel a little guilty about themselves. I always make decisions on my own, and can be dismissive of other people’s advice. Guys see me as being a thinker and a careful person. People find me too shy and quiet.

Centennial Celebration of DLS 1911 – 2011

On March 10, 1911, three La Salle Brothers—Blimond Pierre, Louis Aloysius Gonzaga, and Augusto Coerrege—arrived in Manila from Europe. Six more followed in June of that year to form the first De La Salle Brothers’ Community in the Philippines. Through their efforts, the first La Salle school in the Philippines was opened on June 16, 1911. A Hundred Years of Lasallian Presence Guided by the mission and values of our Founder St. John Baptist de La Salle—Patron Saint of Teachers—the De La Salle Brothers laid the groundwork for an empowering and transformative Christian education. Lasallian education has since spread to 17 campuses and various communities across the country.

On its centennial, the Philippine Lasallian Family will continue its mission to make education accessible to a greater number of Filipinos.

To get updated with the on-going and future events as we celebrate the 100 years of De La Salle Philippines, you may go to Centennial Events Calendar.

See you Lasallians! Animo La Salle!

Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn

After the “Twilight Saga – Eclipse” last June 30, 2010 that tackles all about love triangle story of Isabella Marie Swan (Kristen Stewart) -swinger girl, Edward Anthony Masen Cullen (Robert Pattinson) – the ever shining vampire, and Jacob “Jake” Black (Taylor Lautner) – the shirtless heartthrob,  here comes now the 4th film “Twilight Saga – The Breaking Dawn ~Part1~

As they were engaged on the 3rd  film Eclipse, they will now take their vows in this much awaited 4th film Breaking Dawn showing this November 18 2011.

It makes me wonder what happen to Jacob after receiving the wedding invitation. What’s all about his rage scenes running furiously after he had received the letter? Well, well I don’t know, but it resulted nothing as the ceremony continues.

After the nuptial, the newly wed went for their honeymoon on Isle Esme and as a result, Bella got pregnant. The name of their child is Renesmee Cullen.

This gonna be  exciting that this would be the start of their forever “that will change everything!”. No more Jacob who tries to get himself in on every moment Edward is not around. >.<  Sorry for the team-Jacob!

After the teaser trailer came out on public, and I’ve watched it on Youtube, I totally feel trembled. Yes! Here comes the twilight-fever again!!!hahaha. Probably twilight haters and people who got bored for vampire stories will also came out to disagree and ditch out. Haters gonna keep on hating.. 😛
